If you are using WebSamhita edit components for inputting text in Indian languages, then you can directly retrieve the value of the entered text in ISCII. This may seem trivial but actually it is not. Whatever you type is in Font codes; and Font codes do not have a one to one mapping with ISCII; hence it is necessary to convert the font codes to ISCII. WebSamhita components manage this conversion internally. As a result you can set and get ISCII Text to and from the WebSamhita components. This feature of WebSamhita is called in-built ISCII Conversion.
