What is the importance of the direction of the sky?
It is a known fact that there are eight directions. But according to Vastu, there are ten directions in total including the four cardinal directions (north, south, east, west) and four sub directions (north-east, north-west, south-east and south-west). Aakash (sky) is the ninth directions and pataal (nadir) is the tenth direction. Cosmic energy is represented by aakash or the direction of the sky. On the other hand, this is infinite and absolute while, on the other, it is available throughout the year, 24 hours a day. In fact, while solar rays and energy rays are available for only 12 hours on a sunny day, cosmic rays and energy are available all throughout the day as well as the night. Moreover, cosmic rays can penetrate the surface of the earth. That is why the direction of the sky or aakash is important.
