What is the importance of filtered water in our showers?
If you shower with untreated or unfiltered water, especially over a prolonged period, you become exposed to certain risks. We take in 7-10 times more chlorine and other chemicals from showering than from drinking water. A warm shower opens up our skin pores and allows accelerated absorption of chlorine and other contaminants that vaporize much faster and at lower temperature than water. The steam we inhale while showering can contain up to 50 times more the level of chemicals than tap water.
