What is the import process for Meximodal service?

0

Meximodal refers to Intermodal shipments interchanged between the BNSF Railway and Ferromex (FXE) that originate or terminate at Pantaco, DF or Guadalajara, JA. Note that these procedures do not apply to shipments routed TFM or TM Northbound shipments, Mexico to the United States, do not include any customs documentation services and require the importer to contact and use a U.S. Customs broker. This broker must file U.S. Customs entry documentation prior to the shipment arriving at the Mexico-US border. Mexican Customs in-transit documentation for southbound shipments, from the United States to Mexico, will be created for shipments moving into Mexico through El Paso via freight-forwarder DoubleStack Services (DSS).
