What is the implementation date for the new Central Accounting System (CAS)?

0

The FOCAS Project’s Executive Steering Committee and the Office of the State Comptroller/Division of the Budget Strategic Alliance Group have approved a change to the Project’s go-live date. The project schedule originally called for a 26-month timeframe beginning in February 2007 with an implementation date of April 1, 2009. Due to the delay in the project start date until December 2007, the timeframe for the project was reviewed and found to not provide enough time to finish the project without significant risk. In order to reduce that risk, provide sufficient testing of the new CAS, and make sure that agencies have enough time to respond to possible changes in their Financial Management Systems, the FOCAS Project will be implemented on April 1, 2011.
