What Is the Impact That Education Has on the Geomatics Communities?
The Government of Nova Scotia, through a joint initiative of the GeoNOVA Secretariat and Department of Education’s Learning Resources and Technology Services, is investigating the impact that education has on the geomatics communities, with an emphasis on understanding the opportunities that might exist in education supporting the industry today and into the future. This effort comes as a direct response of what GeoNOVA heard as an industry need, during the Spring into Geomatics 2008 conference held in Truro this past year. As a first step, a series of four workshops are to be held, engaging the geomatics industry, public school educators, post secondary institutions and recent geomatics graduates.
