What is the impact of the Public Sector Reform Act 2010 on ministerial officers?

0

Ministerial officers (those appointed pursuant to s68 of the PSMA) will remain employed by the Minister responsible for administration of the PSMA. They will not become employees of the Commissioner. The Department of the Premier and Cabinet rather than the Commissioner will principally assist in the administration of Part 4 of the PSMA (assistance for political officeholders). However a Commissioner’s instruction will address the process for review of the classification of those permanent public service officers and seconded employees occupying special offices under s75 of the PSMA who may be eligible to seek such a review.
