Many countries in Sub Saharan Africa now to cope with increasingly large numbers of children orphaned or made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS. As the numbers of OVCs increase so does the stress of traditional coping systems of extended families which are now being overwhelmed with the increase in numbers.
