What is the Immediate Benefit Plan?
The Immediate Benefit Plan is an optional Term Life insurance policy issued by The Prudential Insurance Company of America which assists with paying the immediate costs, such as funeral arrangements, final medical expenses and unforeseen travel expenses, following the death of the insured employee. This plan is designed to help pay some of the immediate expenses while waiting for other life insurance plans to payout benefits. Typical life insurance plans can take weeks before the beneficiary(ies) receives any funds.
