What is the Imani Community Church or the Imani Community Foundation and what is its background?
The Imani Community Church or the Imani Community Foundation received its nonprofit charitable status and has been active since 1985. We are recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a nonprofit educational/charitable organization charity (explained in the IRS publications). Originally we focused on being the primary nonprofit support organization for the community desiring to support human compassion-based activities. Since its inception, the Foundation and the Church have sponsored numerous exhibitions, lectures, and educational activities.
