What is the Illinois Articulation Initiative?
The Illinois Articulation Initiative is a statewide agreement that identifies a common curriculum across participating institutions in an attempt to assist students in transfer. Students completing the General Education Core Curriculum at a participating institution prior to admission at SIUE will have lower division general education requirements satisfied upon entry to the University. These students will enter the University having only major requirements, interdisciplinary studies, and foreign language (if appropriate) remaining for fulfillment of degree requirements.
