What is the ideal period of time between engagement and wedding?
If you wanted and could do it, months would be fine. As long as it is ok with you and the groom and the families and you don’t get really stressed out set the date for when ever you want to. I waited about 3 years and actually started planning a year and a half before the wedding date. Through the time period me and my husband had been liing together and learned a lot about each other, the relationship became rocky and if I hadn’t waited to plan we would have had a rough marriage, but we learned each other and respected each other and our relationship grew. Things do become different and a little annoying when you first move in with someone and sometimes when you have kids with them too.
