What is the ideal amount of these nutrients to eat per day if you want to lose weight?
It all depends on your height and weight and without those it is really hard to tell you individual values. When trying to lose weight, though, you should keep well away from saturated fats and high levels of sodium/salt. Also you should avoid high glycemic carbohydrates such as white bread, sweets and sugary treats. These spike your insulin levels which tells the body to start storing what you’re eating as fat. I usually advise a high protein, high carb, low fat diet of 40/40/20 when dealing with weight lose cases. Try to stick to good sources of protein such as eggs, chicken, turkey, fish (tuna). Beef and pork are very high in saturated fat, so try only to eat these once a week. Try to get your carbohydrates from a low glycemic (slow digesting) source, such as wholewheat/rye bread, brown rice, baked potato. You should work out your BMR before you start and then build your diet around that. Remember, DON’T STARVE YOURSELF!
