What is the idea behind Social Responsibility Conclave?
It has two purposes. Planting the seeds of social responsibility in students & filling the missing links. Many corporate, indiviuals, NGOs are doing good work. However, these are islands of success. The issue is how to connect these islands & help them leverage. A national movement, involving various sections is required to bring social change. Many times, we get lost in statistics. It makes anything good or bad. One gets 100000/- & other 5000/- but the average may be 50000/-. World Bank spends enormous money but what is the percentage of the money that is actually spent on real issues for real people. Instead of Corporate Social Responsibility, present conclave focuses on Social Responsibility. What marks this departure? When we planned this conclave, we tried to identify the missing links.
