The on the tree is displayed for individuals when all relationships are not visible in the current tree view. For example, if you are seeing the “Family View” of the tree of an individual, his or her spouse’ side of the family is not visible in that view. You can click on this icon above the spouse’ name to navigate to the spouse’ side of the family.
