What is the HRES Green Living Program?
As part of Harvard Real Estate Services’ (HRES) commitment to sustainability, a new Green Living Program has been launched with the goal of reaching residents in all rental apartments. Having previously supported a program limited to its three largest properties, HRES made the decision to expand its scope while instituting a new model for inspiring the conservation of natural resources among residents. Teaming up with the Office for Sustainability (OFS) and drawing on social marketing tools and effective communication techniques, HRES hopes to foster a community that values and supports sustainability. Annually HRES invests in projects designed to increase energy efficiencies, and ask all residents to support the University’s Sustainability Principles and new Greenhouse Gas Reduction Commitment.
