What is the Hostos Student Ambassador Program?
The Hostos Student Ambassador Program is a specially designed program for students who are high achieving and have a dedication to doing service for their community. Student Ambassadors represent the college at a number of events throughout the course of the year and speak out on a number of issues with regard to Hostos Community College, The City University of New York, the Bronx and New York City and State. Hostos Student Ambassadors receive specialized training and workshops throughout their time as members of the program. The workshops are offered in general on every Friday afternoon from 3:30-5:30 and allow students to receive training in ethics, debate, etiquette, parliamentary procedure, governance, leadership skills, public speaking, voice and diction, mask making, time management, personal and professional skill enhancement and dynamic presentation skills amongst others.
