What is the Hope Chest Food Pantry?
The Hope Chest Food Pantry is a place where families, who are in need, can come for emergency assistance. The Hope Chest offers food and children’s clothing on a once a month basis. It is run by volunteers two times a week for a total of 5 hours. During those 5 hours the volunteers are able to distribute food and clothing to an average of 50 families per week. The families are able to pick food from the shelves to fill one brown paper bag. They are also given paper goods and diapers if needed. All of the goods in our pantry are donated by our congregation and several other churches and groups in the community. We Hope Chest will be offering holiday food baskets to all of our clients. We will hand out the baskets mid-November through mid-December. With the help of Atonement Lutheran Church, we will be including meat (turkey or ham) with the baskets. If you would like to help, $30 will help us give a Hope Chest family a holiday basket to fix dinner at home. If you prefer to purchase food
