What is the homework policy in Kindergarten?

0

In Kindergarten we are teaching the skill of responsibility through the daily routine of reading and homework. At this age level, students are dependent upon their parents to model and help reinforce those skills taught in class. Kindergarten homework should reflect your childs thinking, which will be used to provide further instruction if necessary. Kindergarten homework is daily (Monday – Thursday), is located in the homework section of our Kindergarten website, and should be completed within 15-30 minutes. If your student takes longer to complete assignments, please notify the teacher. An additional 10 minutes of reading is a requirement and can be you reading to your child or your child reading to you. Homework is not reflected in their academic grades on the report card; however, it is a component of the work habits and social skills section.
