What is the homemaker and nursing services program about?
The Homemakers and Nurses Services program provides home help for people living in the community. The program purchases homemaking services from a number of contracted community on behalf of elderly and disabled people, and some families in crisis. The program is designed to assist clients who qualify (under functional and financial assessment) to live independently in their own homes in the community. Homemaking services purchased include light housekeeping, laundry, incidental shopping, and assistance with meal preparation.
