What is the “home brewing” I keep hearing about?
Federal laws allow Americans to brew up to 100 gallons of beer per person, or 200 gallons per household, for personal consumption or sharing. Many beer aficionados have taken this to a hobby of sometimes extraordinary proportions–kegging their beer, using sophisticated brewing equipment, and the like. The resulting beers cannot be sold, but they can be shared. Several home brewing clubs operate in the Baltimore area, and we anticipate participation and demonstrations from some of them for BBW.
