What is the HIV Prevention Counseling, Testing and Partner Counseling and Referral Program?
The HIV/AIDS Prevention Program ensures that HIV counseling, testing, and referral services are available to Louisiana residents at risk for contracting HIV. HIV prevention counseling and testing services are available at funded community-based organizations (CBOs), parish health units, Office of Addictive Disorder sites, and various health clinics throughout the state. For those individuals who test positive for HIV, a referral program is available to assist individuals in notifying both present and former sex and IV partner(s).
