The Town of Wayland implemented GIS in 1994. Since then, GIS use has steadily increased throughout the global community. In 2002, Wayland launched an online, interactive geographic web service, referred to as Wayland GIS. This service uses ESRI software technology to provide Wayland employees and the public, with an ability to view, analyze, and print out current online geographic information.
