What is the history of the leaning tower of Pisa?
In 1173 the Tower of Pisa was made on unstable soil. The builders did not notice until the third floor was made. They continued it however, making it’s 7 floors complete. It was finished between 1360 and 1370. Pisa kept leaning more every year. Then it was closed for repairs in 1990, when it was leaning 14 1/2 feet to the side. They stabilised the structure without ruining it, and now Pisa is visited by thousands.
