I wonder because I asked my teacher before culinary chef uniform and how it occurred, but apparently she does not know the answer. Well many people recognize the chef uniform especially in the hospitality industry, as the tap, double-cross white jacket, plaid pants and black and white. I’m sous chef at a Marriott Hotel and would be interested in how the uniform was too. I think it is based on French traditions that would probably be a good place to look in the history of the same.
