What is the History of SC ISAC?
SC ISAC was launched in June 2006 with the announcement of its sponsorship by the International Cargo Security Council (ICSC) at its Annual Conference in Nashville, TN. SC ISAC was unanimously voted into the ISAC Council in September 2006. The ISAC Council’s primary objective is to serve as the coordinating mechanism for all of the ISACs to work collectively with the federal government. There are currently 13 ISACs on the Council which includes the SC ISAC, Telecommunications, Electric, Information Technology, Water, Energy, Financial Services, Highways, etc.
