What is the history of Liba Liba Houseboats?

0

In 1961 the Liba Liba fleet launched the first of 30 craft designed and built by Ian Showell. In 2007 the fleet now consists of 14 upgraded hire houseboats. Since those early days, hire houseboats have become a very popular form of family holiday and there are now over 200 craft plying the river from Goolwa to Mildura in Victoria. In November 2006 Liba Liba Houseboat company was sold and taken over by new owner/managers, Carissa & Greg Austin. Since then Liba Liba’s have been given a ‘facelift’ on the exterior, freshening them up for a new era in the Liba Liba history book!
