What is the history of Konnyaku?
Konnyaku has a long history of safe dietary use in Japan. The first documented use of Konnyaku was in an ancient Japanese written work entitled ‘Man you-shu’ which was edited in the 8th century. Historically Konnyaku was used as a herbal ingredient for cleansing the digestive tract to eliminate irritating and harmful substances, and to keep the internal organs in good shape.
