The Eastern Time Zone portions of Michigan went on Daylight Savings Time on April 27, 1975, rather than on February 23rd with the rest of the country. On October 26, 1975, the state shifted to US Table I 02:00. NOTE: Most tables show the Lower Peninsula returned to Central time on 2-15-1943 for the duration of the war, returning after World War II to Eastern Time.
