In use since 1975, the name FHA-HERO represents the fusion of the association’s historical roots—Future Homemakers of America—with the expanded scope of today’s Home Economics Related Occupations program. Members have voted overwhelmingly to retain the FHA-HERO name because it is widely recognized for helping students become strong leaders for families, communities and careers.
