What is the history behind ReboundFX?
At age 12, Theo Ratliff switched from playing football to playing basketball. He finished his four-year college career at Wyoming as the second best shot blocker in NCAA history. Ratliff was also the Western Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year as a senior, averaging 5.14 blocks a game. He was selected in the first round of the NBA 1995 draft by Detroit as the 18th pick. He was sent to Philadelphia in a midseason deal that brought Jerry Stackhouse to the Pistons. By the next season, Ratliff was third in the league in blocked shots and a member of the second All-Defensive team. In 1999-2000 injuries began to plague Ratliff, and he missed 25 games due to ankle problems. In the 2000-2001 season, he was selected for the NBA All-Star team despite having missed 28 games. Unfortunately, a broken wrist prevented him from playing and he was sidelined for an additional 6 weeks. The 76ers traded him to the Atlanta Hawks in February of 2001.
