What is the highest mountain on Earths moon?
I found the images of topography for the Earth’s Moon but not any heights. Some of them are amazing! You may have to go check out one of the books they have listed to get an exact number. Yes our mountains are based on sea level measurements, you use the phrase ‘highest’ to say…Everest is the highest mountain.(traditional measurement of sea level up) You use the word ‘tallest’ to say Mauna Kea is the tallest mountain (measured from base up, the base actually being under the ocean) I’m assuming that any number you find will have to use ‘tallest’ because of the lack of ocean on the Moon. That took awhile, but here they are Mons Huygens – 4.7 km Mons Hadley – 4.6 km Mons Bradley – 4.2 km http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_mou… The list isn’t complete though, there are still many mountains that have not been measured on the moon.
