Each Head Coach will be contacted by multiple recruiters during the year. The recruiters generally try to watch players during their junior year and coming into the senior year. In other words, they try to identify potential recruits in their sophomore or junior years, then see how they develop. Your Head Coach will tell the recruiters the names of the top athletes at your high school and will let them know if you are a player capable of playing at their level. He will also tell them about athletes he has seen on opposing teams that merit attention. The recruiters will also hear the same type of input from other area coaches.
