What is the heat dissipation of the WDC units?
Heat dissipation is based on the amount of power drawn by the load and the efficiency of the UPS or Power Regulator. The WDC products have high efficiency and therefore lower heat dissipation. The exact full load heat dissipation figures are listed in our site planning guide and product manuals. Actual heat dissipation is generally about 20 to 30% less than the site planning guide figures as the WDC unit is rarely operating under continuous full load conditions. Medical imaging applications will dissipate approximately 6,000 to 9,000 BTU/hr because the load is very dynamic with extended periods of low power idle mode.
