What is the Health District doing to prepare for an outbreak?
The Summit County Health District created the Office of Emergency Preparedness in May 2006 to address emergency planning and response needs related to public health emergencies. Our mission is to strenghthen our capacity to respond to public health emergencies. We do this by collaborating and coordinating with county, regional, state and national partners to prepare coordinated responses to pandemic, natural and man-made disasters. More information can be found on the Emergency Preparedness pages of this site.
