What is the HCN policy on photography?
HCN doesn’t have a strict policy on photography at club events, but it is always a good idea to get permission from any subject you photograph. We have to remember when we also were sensitive about possible public exposure and need to respect the boundaries of others. When visiting other clubs, we abide by the policy of that club. This often means no photography, or pictures confined to your immediate campsite. When in a host’s home for a party, check with the host or hostess about photographs in their home. A club photographer is often assigned for most events, with photos only going into the club newletter, which is limited to other members and SWSA clubs. At regional conventions it is expected that you will register your camera and respect the color code bands that folks wear indicating their preferences (no photos, ask first, or go ahead and shoot me). HCN encourages the artful aspects of nude photography, and periodically holds club workshops on the topic.
