What is the H1N1 situation and will a H1N1 vaccine be available in China?
Pandemic H1N1 influenza is the health issue of most concern to organizations at present. Although the disease is milder than might have been predicted in the majority of cases, nevertheless there has been considerable impact in many countries worldwide, including significant numbers of deaths in otherwise healthy young people. International SOS recommends that corporations develop a well thought-out pandemic preparedness plan to promote their business continuity. From our studies, we found that still many companies are unprepared for a pandemic outbreak, either because they rely on their HQ to develop the pandemic plan on their behalf, or because they under-estimate the consequences a pandemic outbreak would have on their businesses.
