Imagine you have a LOT of Thinstations. Some are old Pentium Classics, some are newer and have a printer attached and some have a good VGA and large, new monitors. Instead of making individual config-files for all your Thinstations you can group them with thinstation.hosts and create a thinstation.conf.group-
