The Greenhouse Challenge Plus (GCP) programme aims to: • reduce greenhouse gas emissions (including promotion of awareness of greenhouse gas abatement opportunities in industry) • accelerate the uptake of energy efficiency • integrate greenhouse issues into business decision-making, and • provide more consistent reporting of greenhouse gas emission levels. Members establish an inventory of their greenhouse gas emissions, develop an action plan for minimising these emissions and report annually to the government on their actions. The programme is administered by the Department of Environment and Heritage (DEH) through the Australian Greenhouse Office (AGO).
