What is the greatest fight in the history of boxing?

I would say that the greatest bout was between Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini and Aruro Frias for the Lightweight Championship. Frias the champion hurt Manicini with some violent blows in the first round. This upset Mancini and he pummeled Frias knocking him out in the last minute of the first round. Before this fight occured some gunmen came to Mancinis hotel, luckily he was not there. He trained under police supervision for the remainder of the time before the fight. It is considered by some to be the bloodiest first round in boxing. P.S. Mancini later killed an openent in the 14th round of a fight, this caused the boxing association to shorten fights from 15 to 12 rounds.

That was a tremendous fight indeed and I’m glad I saw it. A lot of boxing oldtimers will tell you that the Tony Zale vs Rocky Graziano 2nd fight on 7-16-1947 was the greatest. Rocky was knocked down by Zale in the 3rd round and taking a battering from Zale with one eye almost completely closed came back in the 6th round and threw a 30 punch barrage and TKOed Zale for the Middleweight championship! Great question!

That fight was awesome, but I’m thinking that Tyson-Holyfield—the fight that should have happened when they were both in their primes–about ten years before the first actual meeting
