The $40 graduation fee is assessed to students when they submit an application for graduation. The fee partially covers the cost of such items as the commencement ceremony and program, diplomas and covers, postage and mailing costs of diplomas not distributed at commencement, and final audit of degree completion. This fee approved subject to change by the Board of Regents, State of Iowa, is non-refundable.

The Graduation Fee allows the College to host and execute your Commencement ceremony, which includes services and entertainment for family and friends, ceremony programs, audio-visual services, diplomas, academic attire, and other accomodations. The Graduation Fee also covers the administrative costs of processing final transcripts, etc.

The graduation fee, which has not changed in ten years, is seventy-five dollars ($75). The charge for Commencement will appear on your student account statement later this semester or early in the spring term. ALL BALANCES MUST BE PAID NO LATER THAN MAY 9, 2008 or you will not be allowed to participate in Commencement. There also is a fifty dollar ($50) late fee charged to students who apply for graduation after the November 2007 deadline.
