What is the grade point average and Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT)/American College Test (ACT) requirement for admissions?
Each application for admissions is considered individually with the expectation that students have a satisfactory grade point average and new SAT/ACT score. Because of the mandated University of North Carolina System 18% cap on out-of-state freshmen students, academic achievement and new SAT/ACT scores must be competitive. The University and the Admissions Office apply the criteria for admissions flexibly to assure that students with unusual qualifications are not rejected in the admissions process. The Office of Admissions should be contacted directly in regard to specific situations.
