What is the grade-level meeting?
The PTSO has experimented with several meeting options and, last year, hit on a successful approach by focusing on the needs of each specific grade. Working with Dr. Williams and the class administrators, PTSO arranges and sponsors four fall evening meetings –one for each grade to provide information and answers to questions of parents at each grade level. For example, the 9th grade meeting features information on tutoring; behavior at school dances, and participation in athletics while junior parents heard about SAT and ACT test taking, resume help and college planning. Informal, roundtable meetings are also held in the spring as parents look forward to the following year.
