What is the government of Ontario itself doing to conserve energy?
The government is implementing over 300 projects including lighting retrofits, lighting control systems, upgrades to more efficient heating and cooling equipment, and weatherization improvements to building envelopes. This will reduce electricity consumption. The government will also begin using water from Lake Ontario for cooling government buildings, and this will further reduce energy consumption.
