Mr MILTON ORKOPOULOS: The Iemma Government is getting on with the job of implementing a new direction in natural resource management. We have introduced new native vegetation regulations and a raft of new measures following extensive consultation with all stakeholders, including the farming community, conservationists and Aboriginal communities. The system of property vegetation plans introduced under the new system last December is already working well, with more than 60 approvals lodged and another 74 awaiting sign-off with landholders.
