What is the goal of the HEATING & COOLING INCENTIVE and how does it work?
The goal is to reduce electricity consumption and demand from residential heating and cooling in Ontario. To accomplish this goal, Ontario residents are encouraged to: • Replace their existing Central Air Conditioning (CAC) system with an ENERGY STAR qualified system (or better). • Replace their existing furnace systems with an eligible high-efficiency furnace equipped with an Electronically Commutated Motor (ECM). NOTE: to be eligible for the incentive, the above services MUST be performed within the dates noted on the incentive. Once the product has been installed, your participating contractor will complete an online incentive and will email you your incentive details so that you can review the information provided and approve your incentive submission.
