Reading Recovery has dual goals. The first goal is to bring the child’s literacy skills up to the average level of the classroom so he/she can benefit from the classroom instruction and continue to grow with his/her classmates. A second goal is to help identify children who may need support longer than what can be provided by Reading Recovery.
