What is the goal of LIFELINE?
The goal of LIFELINE is to offer help to troubled employees by providing self-referral opportunities to appropriate professional resources. Self referral opportunities are also available to any employee’s immediate family members. Who can use LIFELINE? All employees of the State of Kansas and their immediate families may call the toll-free LIFELINE number. Immediate family members are those individuals who are dependent upon you or live in the home with you. There is no limit to the number of calls that can be made to LIFELINE. What problems will LIFELINE address? LIFELINE can provide confidential help with all kinds of problems or questions. A sample list of situations where LIFELINE can provide help includes: • marital problems • financial trouble • depression • aging • child care • child or adolescent problems • family conflict • alcohol or drugs • legal Who pays the bill?
