Deuel County in South Dakota and it is county 23 and is in the middle east of the county the town still has the original church from when the town was built. It used to be out were the semitary was. But in the 1900s the people of Brandt moved the church with horses and man power. It is now on the way east side of town. The town is named after Realf Brandt, a minister who founded Lutheran churches in the area. Brandt used to have a school and every thing but know there is only 125 people that live there. There are probable ¾ of the people that live there are raising families. The first person to get married at Highland Luther Church was Lars and Helga Kjenstad.
