What is the genre of a Tale of Two Cities?
If this is supposed to be a literary criticism, you need to actually critique the book. Tell what you liked, what you didn’t. BS it, it’s not that difficult. Go section by section, pick out what parts annoyed you, where you got confused, what characters you really enjoyed, whether you even liked the book at all! Finish up with, like I said, your overall opinion of the book. Think about how a movie review is structured. It starts out with a general description of the plotline and the background, followed by a long analysis of what the reviewer liked and didn’t like. Also, talk about whether or not you’d recommend the book to someone else. The genre is probably historical fiction. It’s really hard to classify some books, and this is definitely one…there’s mystery, drama, even some romance in there. Also…double space. I’m assuming you are, but in case you aren’t. Usually teachers prefer that.
